As we enter the month most closely associated with

As we enter the month most closely associated with our patron, Saint Patrick, the Covid-19 pandemic is not yet in our rearview mirror. For many of us, the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of the Jersey Shore Annual Black-Tie Dinner was the first meaningful social event canceled due to the virus last year.
Unfortunately, we need to postpone this year’s dinner for the second year in a row. Our Black Tie Dinner is postponed rather than cancelled as our honorees and all of us remain ready to celebrate together when we can.
The Dinner Committee continues to monitor the positive trends we are seeing about vaccinations and enabling social gatherings throughout our area. We believe there is never a bad time to celebrate St. Patrick, being Catholic and being Irish, so please stay tuned for future announcements and invitations to join us when it is safe to do so. We hope we do not have to wait until March 2022 to gather again.
Thank you for joining us in the past and we look forward to a bright future.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of our 1982 Irishman of the Year, Thomas F. Kelaher. He held many prestigious positions during his lifetime dedicated to public service; marine, prosecutor, chairman, mayor and many more... Thank you for making Irish Americans proud. We are deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of our 2007 Irishman of the Year, Dr. Michael Cahill of Spring Lake. Doc Cahill was a proud Irish Catholic who devoted his entire life to his faith, family and serving others. No one had a greater impact on the health and well-being of the countless children raised in the Irish Riviera than Dr. Cahill.
