The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of the Jersey Shore is pleased to announce that its 46th Annual March Dinner will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Doolan’s Shore Club, Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey. We are very excited about this event and our 2019 award recipients.
The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Board of Trustees selected the Byrne Brothers – Bobby, Jimmy and Michael – as our 2019 Irishmen of the Year. These three brothers have devoted a lifetime to entertaining people at the Jersey Shore with their music and all things Irish. The Board of Trustees also conferred the 2019 Commodore Barry Award to a local hero who graduated from St. Rose high school, the United States Naval Academy and served honorably overseas, Jason Martin.
Our 2019 Order of St. Brendan Honoree is Fr. Martin O’Reilly, a local parish priest born in Ireland and who does great work locally. The Order of St. Brendan honors native born sons of Ireland who have added to the luster of their Irish heritage here in the United States. We hope that you are able to join us and, as you are aware, the March Dinner and its Ad Journal is the primary fundraiser of the Friendly Sons. The proceeds of the Dinner and the Ad Journal support the many charitable endeavors of the Friendly Sons, including its charitable Foundation that sponsors the Brother Peter Mannion Memorial Grant Program. This Program has awarded over $700,000 in grants to local high school seniors of Irish descent as they begin their college education.
In addition to joining us at the Dinner, we ask that you consider and/or have your business consider taking an Ad in the 2019 Ad Journal. Your financial support will ensure that the Friendly Sons will continue to support local high school graduates as they prepare for college.
Please reserve your spot for dinner by purchasing your tickets below, and review the Ad Journal sponsorship form here. We look forward to seeing you on March 8, and thank you for your continued support and friendship.
