Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Every year, the men and women of the Jersey Shore join together to march up Main Street in honor of Saint Patrick. The parade is intended to be a showcase for Irish Heritage. Crowds who line the streets for the parade are entertained by marchers, bands, and a lot of fire engines.

The FSSP of the Jersey Shore participate in the parade. Members are joined by their families and friends (children and grandchildren are encouraged to participate). Our organization, family, and guests gather for breakfast foods and refreshments for both adults and children before the parade.

In previous years we have been led by groups such as the CBA Pipe and Drum Corps. Following the parade, our marchers are bussed back where festivities continue with dinner and refreshments are served.

This is a special annual event for our organization and it is important that our membership shows its strong commitment to celebrating St. Patrick and our religious values.
