Journal Ad Benefits Deserving College Bound Students
Please help us bring about another successful year for our Journal. This year will mark our 45th year of holding the Annual Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of the Jersey Shore Dinner. At the dinner we typically honor three (3) deserving individuals of Irish decent (i.e., Irishman of the Year Award, Order of St. Brendan Award and the Commodore John Barry Award).
Each year as part of the dinner we put together a Dinner Journal that is given to over 330 men from different professions and walks of life who come together to celebrate our Irish heritage and our American patriotism! The contributions from the Dinner Journal ads have assisted the FSSP in awarding twenty-five $1,000 Brother Peter Mannion Memorial Grants to deserving graduating high school seniors of Irish descent. The FSSP has awarded more than $579,000 in grants over the years and we’ve had well over 12,000 people look through our ad journal.
These grants go a long way to help these deserving young men and women achieve their college education goals whether it helps to pay part of their tuition, transportation costs or perhaps even purchase a new laptop. Not only have the men attending the dinner made new friends, but they’ve also been able to find resources they need by reviewing the ads in the Dinner Journal.
Please help us this year help more students achieve their college goals.
